For this series, I decided to embrace the mythological side of portraiture by pursuing a topic not often represented in art history or photography -- the astrological zodiacs. I placed my models in nature to draw on the concepts of the Romantic era with nature having this powerful, awe-inspiring atmosphere. I used the golden side of my reflector to create a celestial vibe around my subjects, and had each model dress and pose with objects and clothes that reflected the constellation they were born under. The hardest part of this project was certainly coordinating multiple schedules with the fickle spring weather, but I look forward to continuing this series as opportunities present themselves.
